Tenants Guide to Renting
Once you have decided that you would like to rent a property through us contact us immediately. We will ask you to pay a holding deposit in order for us to stop marketing and suspend viewings.
In order for London & Essex to accept you on behalf of the landlord, we will need a certain amount of paperwork from you in order to run credit and right to rent checks.
If you are not confident you will get a good credit score, we may still accept if you have a suitable working guarantor.
As standard we require;
-
copy of passport or photographic ID
-
bank statements, last 3 months
-
3 months wage slips
-
utility bill at current address
-
national insurance number
-
information to obtain references, landlord, employment and character
In other circumstances we may need to see;
-
information on Universal Credit and Income Support
-
Accountancy letters if self employed
-
if using guarantor we would need them to come into office to sign paperwork also
